Care Tips

1. Daily Use

• Avoid Overloading: Prevents deformation, especially for canvas/leather bags.
• Water Protection:
  • Canvas: Wipe rain with a dry cloth; avoid prolonged moisture.
  • Vachetta (light leather): Keep dry; use colorless leather conditioner to reduce watermarks.
  • Suede/Exotic Skins: Avoid liquids; clean with a dry cloth.

2. Cleaning

• Canvas: Gently wipe with a damp cloth; use mild soap for stains.
• Leather: Use LV-approved leather cleaner or a soft cloth with petroleum jelly.
• Hardware: Polish with a dry cloth; apply clear nail polish to prevent tarnish.

3. Storage

• Shape Retention: Stuff bags with tissue/bubble wrap.
• Dust Bag: Store in the original dust bag; keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
• Avoid Plastic: Use breathable storage to prevent mildew.

4. Material-Specific Tips

• Vachetta: Natural darkening over time; avoid oils/sweat.
• Epi Leather: Wipe with a damp cloth; no oily products.
• Taurillon Leather: Brush with a horsehair brush; condition twice a year.

5. Troubleshooting

• Stains: Use alcohol on linings (test first); avoid DIY fixes on exteriors.
• Odors: Place charcoal/tea bags inside; never spray perfume.
• Scratches: Buff gently with fingers; use color-matching cream for leather.
